New Copley assistant fire chief sworn in

Moore joined the department Copley in 1991 as a part-time firefighter and became a captain of full-time firefighters in 1998, Benson said. Moore also served as Fire Chief for Norton 1993 to 1998, Benson said. Promoting Moore was approved at the June meeting a fiduciary.

Moore was chosen from three candidates and will serve a probationary period of one year. He fills a vacancy created when former Assistant Fire Chief Jim Rogers retired in March.Promoting Moore entered into force June 25

Also during the meeting, trustees also gave Police Chief Michael Mier permission to contribute $ 3,000 to the Metro SWAT for the purchase of an armored vehicle. • approved purchase and installation of 115 cubic yards of mulch, wood fiber engineering at recess Copley Community Park at a cost not exceeding $ 2,875.
